Three Wheeled Buggies
Three-wheeled buggies are ideal for walking around the neighborhood or jogging. Their compact design makes them easy to maneuver even in tight spaces.
For a smooth ride, opt for a pram fitted with air-filled tyres and look for models with an swivel wheel that rotates 360 degrees in front. However, they are more prone to punctures so be prepared with an repair kit.
Frame made of sturdy material
Recent figures have been released revealing that the three-wheeled buggy - that noughties symbol of more money than sanity is in a decline. They've been replaced with four-wheelers that are able to handle a wider variety of terrain, yet still look stylish and easy to push.
The larger the wheels are, the better your buggy will cope with bumpy and uneven pavements. The larger wheels both rear and front allow you to maneuver and more stable while walking downhill or in difficult terrain.

MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy out with a newborn and a 3 year old and found it coped well with cobbles, grass, rough pavements, dirt tracks and kerbs. She said that it felt solid to push, and extremely solid on rough terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable, so require periodic pumping) come with suspension built-in that was very comfortable for my children.
The shape and size of the seat is another aspect to think about. You will want it to be large enough to accommodate your child's comfort and you will also require it to recline so that they can lie flat. Certain three-wheel buggies come with the option of lying flat that allows your child to lie flat and face you, whereas others only allow a parent-facing one.
The Roma Atlas is a great option for off-road or wet walks. This buggy is suitable for a single child from birth and can be modified to accommodate two children as your family expands. It is suitable for infants and toddlers up to age 4 and comes with a bumper bar, raincover, an improved 5-point harness and large cushioned seat unit. Storage options are also great, with a large basket with zip pockets on the hood and a handy pouch at the rear of seat unit.
Larger wheels
Larger wheels mean your buggy will have more stability on rough terrain - perfect for off-road buggies. Additionally, they allow you to maneuver the pushchair in tight spaces. Many three wheeled buggies have rotating front wheels that help you navigate around tight corners, whereas others are designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability at which they can be driven. This is particularly useful when you bump against trees or a kerb. The front wheel can be lifted slightly to prevent hitting it.
Many 3 wheel pushchairs feature air filled tyres which means they can be used on different terrains and are more adaptable than 4-wheelers. They're also lighter. They are more prone to punctures, so you'll require an repair kit and spare inner tube in your arsenal.
Our top three-wheelers include the Mountain Buggy Core and Venicci Carbo Lux. These buggies, according to MFM's Kath, have larger wheels which according to her "perform well on gravel roads, grass and market town cobbles", and can easily climb or descend kerbs. They also have a suspension system that, in her words "smoothes out bumps very effectively".
Buggies with larger wheels may be quite large, and may struggle to fit into tight spaces. This is an issue if you're using it as a jogger or to maneuver through narrow doorways when out and out and about. Fortunately, many models come with small folding options that allow you to remove the front wheels to make compact storage.
Easy to Manoeuvre
One of the major advantages to a three-wheeled buggy is that it can be much easier to maneuver, especially with a child in the back. The way in which they are built ensures that the front wheels rotate on a dime and are really maneuverable and are ideal for tricky terrain such as parks, cobbles, bumpy pavements and dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried an all-wheeler with her toddler, and she reported: "The Terrain is a joy to maneuver on uneven terrain. The swivel wheel front was especially useful." I was also impressed with the way it dealt with kerbs using the hand-operated break. It was extremely stable when for descending or on uneven terrain."
The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the 3 wheel buggy's larger wheels sometimes mean that it will be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces - something to be aware of especially if you live in a city area. If this is the case then a 4-wheeled buggy could be the better choice for you.
Bumper bar
Bumper bars are a great method to shield your child from scrapes and bumps while out and out and about. They are quick and easy to install and make your child feel secure and safe while out on the town or taking on tough terrain.
It is designed to complement the sleek lines of your Slim Twin stroller, this bumper bar is a soft and cushioned surface that provides an ideal place for your child to hang on to during walks. The sturdy construction and durable design ensure that your child can take a stroll around town without having to worry about falling out of the buggy or leaning too far ahead.
The sling is stowed inside the frame and not on top of the seat that is modular. This provides a lower center of gravity for your newborn at the perfect height and also provides excellent weight distribution to make it easier to push over curbs (it is much easier to push a stroller up and down than you may think). MFM reviewer Kath found it to be able to deal well with grass and cobbles and is a great choice for jogging with its lockable swivel front wheel that can be locked and air filled tyres.
This bumper bar will turn heads wherever it is utilized. It has a sophisticated and fashionable design. It's available in a variety of colours and finishes to suit your style. It has a simple, quick-release mechanism that makes it easy to remove and install the bumper bar when needed. Furthermore the bar is easy to clean, and is made of durable materials that are easy to wipe down. This makes it a great choice for families who want an elegant and safe accessory for their stroller.
Comfort
3 wheeled pushchair -wheel buggy offers the most maneuverability and performance when going off-road. With the perfect geometry and weight distribution, this style of buggy can turn on a dime and be easy to steer with just one hand. All Mountain Buggies are tested to the same rigorous global stability standards and tests as buggies with four wheels.
The clever design of the Sport places the fabric sling seat within the frame, rather than sitting on top as modular seats. This lets it have lower center of gravity which means it's easier to push, has a less weighty curb-pop (you will not need to exert the same effort to raise the buggy's hood over a curb) and provides better balance and stability. With 16" rear wheels, the lockable front wheel, and tyres that are air-filled, you can enjoy a more smooth, comfortable jog.

It's not the only reason to love this buggy It's also a great way to get around - our MFM reviewer Kath loved how spacious it is, too. There's a large easy-to-access basket that's quite spacious for a buggy of this size and there's an easy-to-use pouch that zips up at the back of the seat unit and even 2 smaller mesh pockets under the hood for your phone and keys.
